NASA and the Russian house company Roscosmos are evaluating in the event that they might want to mount a rescue mission to the Worldwide House Station after discovering a coolant leak from the Russian Soyuz spacecraft at the moment docked on the station.

Sergei Krikalev, the manager director for human house flight program at Roscosmos, dismissed hypothesis that the leak was attributable to an influence from a Geminid meteor, saying the trajectory of the influence didn’t match the meteor bathe.
“Now we’re doing thermal evaluation to see if we will use this car to do regular re-entry … or we have to ship rescue car to the station in future,” Krikalev stated.
If the Soyuz spacecraft proves to be unfit for re-entry, NASA and the Roscosmos must launch a brand new spacecraft to make sure the crew can safely return to Earth.
Russian officers have stated that they are going to be able to launch a brand new Soyuz in February if the necessity arises.
